INVITATION FOR BIDS
1. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Road maintenance works during the financial year 2010/2011. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the Spot improvement and construction of culverts on the part of
Simanjiro District Council Roads.
And
The Simanjiro District Council has received fund from the ROAD FUND BOARD towards the cost of Road Maintenance Works, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to cover eligible payments under the contract for Spot Improvement and Construction of Culverts along Lorbene – Orchorinyori-
Kiruani road.
2. The Simanjiro District Council now invites sealed bids from eligible contractors registered in class seven (VII) and above for various roads maintenance activities On Simanjiro District Council.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the national Competitive Bidding a procedure specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non Consultant
Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations 2005 – Government Notice No. 97 and is open to National Bidders only as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise started in the Bid Data Sheet.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the District Engineers Office, P. O.
Box 14384 Arusha from 8:00Hrs to 15:30 Hrs on Mondays to Friends inclusive except on public holidays.
5. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of One hundred thousand shs (100,000/=) Payment should either be by Cash, Banker's Draft, or banker's Cheque, payable to District Executive Director, Simanjiro District Council.
6. All bids must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration in the format provide in the Bidding documents.
7. All bids in one original plus two (2) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in sealed envelopes marked the tender a name and number must be delivery to the address below The Secretary, Simanjiro Tender Board at or before 11:00 Hrs of 02/03/2011. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders representatives who choose to attend In the opening at the Council Hall.
8. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids not received, bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
