Team Leader - Monitoring & Evaluation/Research

The ideal candidate should have a personal and professional commitment to excellence and integrity. The Team Leader M&E and Research will be responsible for planning and implementing plantation sector M&E component, knowledge management and sharing to improve the program quality and demonstrate lasting impact and co-ordinating the whole research component of the plantation Programmes. She/he will develop an appropriate M&E system and knowledge sharing/management strategy and mechanism for the plantation programme and provide guidance and support to the staff particularly to the M&E Co-ordinator and M&E Officer to implement the strategy. She/he will have to assist the Director Plantation Programmes to ensure that the impact goal of the plantation programme is achieved by periodically reviewing the program M&E system and demonstrating cumulative impact of the program.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical area and/or development studies. A similar Post-Graduate Degree will be a distinct advantage. Three to Five years’ experience in development with demonstrated achievements in the plantation sector is desired. Applicants should have strong analytical, programming, and inter-personal skills. The position requires excellent proficiency in spoken and written English and, writing skills. Proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil is desirable.
