Attorney/Legal Advisor, Worldwide

We are currently seeking short-term and long-term attorneys/legal advisors for the Economic Growth for Poverty Reduction (EG4PR) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The objective of this project is to provide a broad, integrated, and knowledge-driven suite of services to USAID missions and bureaus to foster sustainable economic growth that translates into poverty reduction. EG4PR will be a vehicle to provide solutions in the following technical areas: trade and investment; financial services; improvement of the business environment; private and public sector capacity building and economic opportunity; and cross-cutting issues such as conflict, gender, food insecurity and global climate change. The positions are contingent on ACDI/VOCA being awarded the IDIQ and subsequent task orders.

Responsibilities:

Provide assistance and expertise on legal topics such as the following:
• Analyzing/drafting legislation
• Administrative law
• Business environment and regulatory reform
• Business formation and dissolution
• Small business advisory work
• Bankruptcy
• Company law
• Real estate/land use
• Land titling/registration
• Company restructuring/mergers/divestitures
• Small/medium/microenterprise legal issues
• Legal work with organizations and associations

We are looking for specialists at the senior, mid and junior levels. In your application, please provide a qualifications summary that includes years of experience, academic degrees and countries of specialty.

Qualifications:

• Experience working internationally on legal issues related to the above-mentioned technical areas on development projects.
• Experience on programs funded by USAID preferred.
• JD, LLM or equivalent credentials and/or demonstrated experience.
• Ability to work in teams to accomplish program goals.
• Strong communication skills.
• English fluency.
