Country Manager: ACCESS Health International, the Philippines
ACCESS Health International is a not for profit organization with offices in South Asia (Hyderabad, India), Latin America (Sao Paulo, Brazil), South East Asia (Singapore), and the United States (Washington, DC). Our work encompasses Implementation Research, Knowledge Transfer and Implementation of initiatives and programs designed to create greater access to high quality affordable healthcare.
ACCESS Health International is seeking a country manger to open and mange a new office in Manila, the Philippines.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in the international health, a master’s degree in public health or economics, or an MBA. Prior work experience with either the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the IFC or similar organization or NGO is desirable. Experience in international health consultancy will also be considered.
The candidate must have an entrepreneurial orientation and excellent cross-cultural and communication skills.
Assignment:
The primary goal of ACCESS Health Philippines is assist the Philippines in developing a strategy to provide every citizen access to high quality health at a cost the individual and the country can afford. The Country Manger Philippines will create a prioritized set of topics for analysis and interventions based on needs of the population, country policymakers and healthcare practitioners. The Country Manger Philippines will work with significant independence but close collaboration with the other regional offices of ACCESS Health International in India, Singapore, Bangladesh and Brazil to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for healthcare financing, organization and technology.
The Country manager will be responsible for the local operations, budgeting, administrative services, potentially human resources and long-term strategic planning.
Country Managers are full-time employees of ACCESS Health International, a registered non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. The organization provides a competitive compensation package.
ACCESS Health International-the Philippines will be created jointly with the Ayala Foundation.
