LAOS COUNTRY PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The Wildlife Conservation Society, a U.S. based international organization, seeks candidates to direct WCS’s conservation activities in Laos. This position is an extraordinary opportunity to head up one of its most dynamic and innovative programs in the Asian region.

The WCS-Laos Program Director will be responsible for: planning and implementing conservation project components; managing and overseeing staff, program finances, grant oversight and reporting; coordination with governmental and non-governmental partners; providing overall guidance to the development of both theoretical and applied conservation science; and providing vision and leadership.

Candidates should hold a PhD or Masters Degree and extensive equivalent experience in a field related to conservation; have at least 5 years experience working in field conservation preferably in Asia; and proficiency in English is required.
