Media and Communications Officer
Conciliation Resources (CR) is an international non-governmental organization with more than 15 years of experience working internationally to prevent and resolve violent conflict. Our practical and policy work is informed by people living in countries affected or threatened by war. We work with partners in the South Caucasus, Fiji, East-Central Africa, the Mano River sub-region of West Africa, India, Pakistan, Colombia and the Philippines. We also publish Accord: an international review of peace initiatives, and seek to influence government peacemaking policies. We are funded by governments, multilateral agencies, independent trusts and foundations. CR is registered in the UK as a charity (1055436).
Media and Communications Officer
Full-time (37.5 hours)
Location: London-based (Islington)
Salary: £26,439 plus pension
Can you help us to inspire, educate and motivate people on the complex global challenges of conflict transformation? Do you have a proven track record of writing persuasive copy and securing media coverage? Can you help us develop our online presence and relations with international media to raise our profile and awareness of our policies among our key audiences?
Candidates should have at least two years experience of communications-related work experience in marketing, comms or journalism. You should have an excellent understanding of media, PR, online communications, social media, publications and branding. Additional languages, knowledge of web CMS and email distribution systems and an interest in our field are an advantage.
