Lead the fight against global poverty

This is a significant strategic management role with ultimate responsibility for the quality and success of programmes in the six countries that make up our West and Central Africa Region. Working through others, you will ensure that volunteer engagement is high, funding opportunities are maximised and development programmes are robust and innovative.

You will also work as part of the Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean leadership team, representing VSO to external audiences, providing strategic direction to the international programmes overall and driving forward positive change.

In addition to outstanding inspirational leadership skills you will need:

· Proven strategic management skills gained across a wide range of cultures.
· The ability to develop and motivate a geographically dispersed team.
· Substantial business and financial acumen.
· Excellent communication skills, with French language skills desirable.
· Substantial fundraising skills and a proven record of income growth
