About INTU-IT Open College: INTU-iT Open College is an institution that provides tuition-free education in Information Technology, Business and the Arts to people who hitherto would not have had access to a higher education due to financial constraints. The College, a not-for-profit institution, was established in July, 2011 by INTU-iT Ghana Limited. The College expects to train at least 6,000 students in its first year of operations and up to 45,000 students by 2013.

Objective: INTU-iT Open College seeks to hire an assertive, innovative and driven Business Development Manager to grow the College and seek sponsorships, trusts and partnerships for the organization and its programs.

The Role: The Business Development Manager is the head of the College's fundraising effort. The College is a community-centered, not-for-profit institution and will therefore need a strong fundraising effort to meet its costs. The BDM will develop and execute a fundraising plan for the college. In this regard, the BDM must identify new opportunities for sponsorships, trusts and partnerships and follow up on them. It will be the BDM's responsibility to develop and maintain cordial working relations with existing partners and sponsors.

Individual donors also contribute to the college's activities and the BDM will be responsible for creating and executing a strategy for a large sustained base of individual donors. The BDM will also follow up and negotiate favourable sponsorship terms for the college. Special events are occasionally held for the sponsors and partners and the BDM has to plan and organize these as and when necessary.

Qualification:
INTU-iT Open College seeks candidates with a strong ability to negotiate favourable terms and conditions. The person must also have strong analytical and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be one who possesses a proven record of professional experience with accomplished relationship building skills.

The candidates must possess a record of professional experience that demonstrates progressive responsibilities and significant senior-level management experience in a complex environment. Candidates must be proven leaders demonstrating at least three (3) years of experience as a BDM or similar position in a fast growing organization including accountability for strategic planning, consensus building, organizational leadership, and technical performance.

Equally significant qualifications include strong integrity, a high level of energy, excellent oral and written communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal relationship and team-building skills. Providing transparent and cost-efficient operational leadership is critical for the BDM to be successful.

A bachelor's degree is required and an advanced degree, or equivalent experience, is strongly preferred.
