Professor of Economics / Energy Economics
The Department of Management, Technology, and Economics at ETH Zurich (www.mtec.ethz.ch) invites applications for the above-mentioned position.
The professorship forms an integral part of the cluster Energy and Natural Resources in the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics. Its research mainly focuses on the economic modeling of energy economics and energy policy issues, as well as the theoretical and empirical valuation of technical options in the area of energy use in a rapidly changing economic and technical environment.
Candidates have an outstanding international research record in these and related fields and a broad general teaching experience. They can document the ability to successfully develop the research area on a high international level with relevant research projects and are prepared to implement their research results in current energy policy. The willingness to cooperate with the other chairs of Economics as well as Management Studies, Engineering, and Natural Sciences, is required. The position can be filled either at assistant professor (tenure track) or full professor level, depending on the age, scientific experience, and record of the applicant. The new professor will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses (German or English) and graduate level courses (English).
