Do you have the skills to help us take forward the Wellcome Trust's vision to achieve extraordinary improvements in human and animal health ?

As part of the Science Funding Division, the main scientific interface between the Trust and our biomedical and public health research community, you will, as an innovative and flexible individual, contribute to the development and implementation of the challenges and focus areas identified in our Strategic Plan (http://www.wellcome.ac.uk/About-us/Strategy/index.htm).

As a member of the team you will contribute to the management of the Trust's portfolio of research and assist in the development and implementation of initiatives and partnerships within the broad remit of neuroscience and mental health.

Who are you ?

You will be a graduate with demonstrable working experience in the relevant scientific, funding or policy areas. A postgraduate qualification is highly desirable. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • the ability to see the 'big picture' and to recognise scientific potential and opportunities
  • evidence of communicating effectively and confidently with individuals and groups
  • that you can work effectively and co-operatively within a team/matrix structure
  • the ability to apply your strong analytical and written skills to the development of briefing/position documents

Salary will be in the region of £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience.
