Client Coordinator - Damco, Cape Town, South Africa
You will be responsible to ensure that all our strategic relationships are managed and operated with exceptional service and regular communication. You will be part of a team who operates in a world class clearing and forwarding environment, from managing and controlling the booking process at origin on a purchase order level to ensuring delivery of the order at the customer’s warehouse or shop floor. This is a multi faceted job which will give you experience in all areas of a supply chain.
PURPOSE:
To proactively manage, monitor and report on all aspects of your customers supply chain, adhere to and develop procedures to ensure exceptional client service, long term relationship building and profitability for Damco.
CUSTOMERS:
· Global & Local accounts
· Vendors of global accounts
· Vendor’s agents
· Damco international offices
· Various suppliers including transporters and shipping lines
CONTEXT:
· High pressure environment
· Interaction with international organisations
· Adaptation to clients’ changing requirements

OUTPUTS:
· Monitoring third party service providers
· Managing Global clients’ vendors
· Damco systems updates (MODS and compuclearing etc)
· Status updates
· Exception reporting and management
· Monitoring documentation and operations function
· Monitoring of all KPIs
· Forecasting of volumes
· Monitoring and communicating changes/situations in the global industry
· New business development within the parameters of job scope
· Client servicing and problem solving
· Daily, Weekly and monthly client reporting
· SOP and IOP compliance
