Cluster Co-ordinator (2 Positions)
Salary: Negotiable market-related package (Ref. CCO/EM)


Minimum requirements: • Relevant B degree or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification plus experience relating to youth matters • Verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills • Computer literacy • Valid Code EB driver’s licence.

Core responsibilities: • Ensure that the departmental SDBIPs are reflective of youth development issues as per the Ekurhuleni Youth Policy • Ensure the implementation and co-ordination of the approved integrated youth development in departments • Assist with the mainstreaming and integrating of youth development issues within the Cluster • Ensure that all youth programmes in the Cluster are transparent and accessible to all young men and women within the EMM • Create opportunities for young people to become active participants in their development, in the specific Cluster • Identify needs of the youth and facilitate strategic programme interventions within the National Youth Policy • Ensure that the character of youth development programmes and projects implemented by the Cluster are relevant and attractive to the youth • Continuously monitor and evaluate youth development programmes and projects within the Cluster • Actively participate in all issues relating to the youth in terms of the framework, policies and programmes in the Cluster • Assist in the execution of the relevant Mayoral Committee and Council resolutions • Liaise with all stakeholders.


Notes: • The appointment will be made on a fixed-term performance-based contract linked to the political term of office • Short-listed candidates will be subjected to relevant competency assessments as well as a security clearance/vetting process.
