Mechanical Engineering Specialist United States

The Mechanical Engineer-Specialist will design packaging systems to support Rolls-Royce's complete range of industrial gas turbine products.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop new mechanical system designs, including gas turbine air intake, acoustic enclosure and exhaust
  • Liaise with procurement and suppliers to source systems and necessary components
  • Work with the customer to ensure the product meets their requirements
  • Maintain cost control of system design within established budgets
  • Support design/drafting group with development of assembly/fabrication drawings
  • Work with Assembly personnel to optimize design for manufacture
