Recovery Supervisor/Flow Sort Controller

Duties and responsibilities:

• Sort diamonds
• Operate, maintain and service flow sort machines
• Maintain grease tables
• Keep records of and report on daily statistics
• Work as part of a team to meet daily deadlines.

Requirements:

• A Grade 12
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience
• A Flow Sort Certificate to operate, maintain and service flow sort machines
• A technical background
• Preparedness to work in a strictly controlled environment
• The ability to concentrate on precise work and to focus over long periods of time on the need for accuracy and reliable results
• The ability to respond or adapt willingly to unexpected circumstances and challenges
• Strong communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Good eyesight (cannot be colour blind)
• Good spatial reasoning, visual acuity and hand/eye coordination
• Good manual dexterity
• Tolerant of routine and repetitive work
• Unquestionable integrity. A security background would be advantageous, as would previous experience in a sort house/recovery.

Pre-screening, profile testing, medical and security clearances form part of the selection process.
