To support its strong growth, Luciad is looking for a Sales & Strategy Manager. The exact territory of engagement is still under scrutiny, and will most probably cover Scandinavia/Asia.

Job description

The successful candidate will be part of the Sales & Strategy department, will work alongside colleagues responsible for other territories, and report to the Head of Sales & Strategy. He will interact on a daily basis with the company's executive management and with various departments including Presales, Services and Product Development.

As Sales & Strategy Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible in the relevant territory to

  1. Above all, achieve strong short-term sales results; and
  2. Establish, strengthen and coordinate the company's strategic, high-level and long-term relations with systems integrators, as well as with government agencies; and
  3. Negotiate complex sales transactions involving OEM or frame agreements.

The successful candidate will also be in charge of identifying and setting up alliances and partnerships with business partners.

Who we are looking for

  • Result-oriented goal-getter and seasoned negotiator with strong commercial acumen;
  • Stress-resistant, diplomatic individual who can behave appropriately towards individuals from very different levels (CEO to project engineer);
  • Born communicator and networker with strong listening / presentation skills, and prior exposure to a multicultural business environment;
  • Excellent commercial and drafting skills combined with a strong sense of detail;
  • Excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language (Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish) is a plus;
  • Candidates must have a higher education (e.g. business, law or engineering) with 4 to 10 years of professional experience, acquired in a commercial position requiring a mix of sales skills and analysis capability (e.g. sales or business development of high-end technology products, international business, public affairs, ...). Related experience with the software industry or with the Security, Defense or Aviation markets is a plus;
  • Candidates must be team players with the ability to work independently;
  • Candidates must live in the vicinity of Luciad’s HQ (wider Brussels region) and be prepared to extensively travel within Scandinavia (up to 50%) and occasionally travel to Asia.
