What will I do as a SAP Functional Lead?

You will deliver 1st class end-to-end solutions for SAP Sales & Distribution within HEINEKEN, ensuring the design and realisation of functional solutions are fit for purpose and deliver against stated business requirements.

You will be the subject matter expert (SME) and first point of contact for SAP Sales & Distribution, delivering 3rd line application support as required in line with agreed SLA’s and business needs, you will also mentor and coach more junior members within the team.

As a SAP Functional Lead – what kind of responsibilities will I have?

• Capture business requirements for new functional solutions and ensure appropriate performance criteria and priority ratings are defined.
• Conduct blueprint activities against functional requirements and deliver a detailed blueprint and solutions design within sub domain.
• Ensure the configuration and realisation of solution components within sub domain are fit for purpose, clearly managing solution scope for project work products within sub domain.
• Ensure for sub domain area, standards, processes and procedures are adhered to.
• Configure functional solutions against specifications and blueprints in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
• Ensure work products are delivered to scope, on time and to agreed quality standards minimising rework and aspiring to a zero defect culture.
• Set & implement testing strategy for sub domain.
• Complete rigorous Unit and Integration testing of work products in line with agreed processes, within allocated timescales.
• Develop and deliver release notes and key user training for all new or enhanced application functionality.
• Provide third line application support as required, in line with agreed SLA’s and in compliance with the defined support process.
• Support the acceptance and implementation of new functional solutions into the production environment and handover to operational support: ensuring relevant support documentation is available.
• Complete detailed solution documentation for functional solutions delivered.
• Mentor and develop more junior team members within sub domain on technical / process areas.
• Engage key users through user forums to discuss future sub domain direction.
• Provide technical expertise in systems applications within nominated sub-domain area.
• Keep abreast of advances of available technologies and best practice: liaise with solution architects and team members to identify and exploit new opportunities.

As a SAP Functional Lead, what skills and qualifications will I need?

• Degree level or equivalent.
• Significant knowledge and experience of SAP SD required. Any experience of LE highly advantageous.
• Strong design skills.
• Prior Implementation and Configuration experience of SD and ideally LE.
• Full lifecycle implementation experience – completed at least 4 end-to-end solutions.
• Strong Business Process knowledge of Sales & Distribution highly advantageous.
• 3rd party management.
• Worked in multi-project, matrix managed environments.
• Prior knowledge and experience in delivering work products within the ASAP methodology, highly advantageous.
