Senior Programme Funding Executive - Tenders / Contracts

CARE International is a leading development and humanitarian charity supporting the poorest communities in 87 countries around the world. Our aim is to bring sustainable and innovative solutions to complex poverty issues and last year we directly supported 82 million of the world’s poorest people.

CARE International UK (CIUK) is looking for a motivated and results-oriented individual to join our exciting new Programme Funding Unit and support the development of our five year organisational fundraising strategy, on a six month contract basis.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability and experience in securing grants, tenders and contracts from institutional donors, such as the Department of International Development (DfID), and the European Union (EU). You will play a key role and be responsible for facilitating a step-change in our contracting abilities.

You will have the ability to manage relationships, engage, influence and persuade individuals and organisations at a high level in both writing and verbally, and develop successful, profitable and long term relationships.

You will have excellent organisation skills and ability to work to strict deadlines. You will also be a proactive team player with outstanding communication skills to work effectively with the marketing and programme departments within CIUK and country office’s worldwide to produce effective and compelling proposals.
