Specialist, Internal Logistics Engineering Systems

This position is located in Erlanger, KY.
Amount of Travel: 50% - 80%
Description of Responsibilities:
  1. Support current NAMC projects for internal logistics process planning activities including: dock/shop layouts for Assy and/or Weld shops , dock utilization/load planning studies, lane/stores layout planning, internal route frequency and flow-rack capacity studies, internal part lead-time analysis, Optimize manpower/equipment planning to meet PEFF KPI and Basic Plan targets.
  2. Cross-train on and support the development of Internal Logistics Route Simulation CAE systems in order to determine the best internal conveyance routing that minimizes traffic congestion and manpower needed.
  3. Assist in developing Standard process planning documents/methods & cross-training materials for ILE University & OP improvements.

Qualifications

Required:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience in the internal logistics area.
Ability to travel 50%+
Preferred:
5 yrs experience in Logistics/Conveyance field, w/ exposure to the following areas: conveyance docks, route planning, internal delivery system planning, layout planning, basic understanding of kanban part ordering.
AutoCad experience.
