The role of the Quality Specialist in Pilot is to ensure completed vehicle quality through standard development, supplied parts quality, supporting design with vehicle development and supporting countermeasures to field issues. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for maintaining job schedules to plan and communicate activities
- Maintain, monitor and improve quality indicators
- Communicate, coordinate and negotiate problem solving with project implementation
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in part manufacturing and processing
- Meeting facilitation and public speaking experience
- Project management experience
- Manufacturing process training and development experience
Preferred:
- Advanced experience in part manufacturing and processing
- Automotive project management experience
- Manufacturing quality experience
- Quality management systems experience (7 tools of quality)
- Ability to demonstrate a cross-functional understanding of automotive manufacturing
- Cross-cultural understanding of American and Japanese cultures
- Completion of the Toyota TBP or a similar problem solving certification
- Basic understanding of Toyota Way (TPS, TBP, Hoshin Kanri, OJD, Muda, Jidoka, JIT, etc)
