University Lecturership in Development Economics

DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT in association with St Antony's College

Grade 10a: £42,733 - £57,431 p.a.

Applications are invited for a University Lecturership in Development Economics. The post is permanent and full-time, tenable from 1 October 2012 and will be offered in conjunction with a non-tutorial fellowship at St Antony's College.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out high quality research and to contribute to teaching, including lecturing, examining and graduate supervision, pastoral care of graduate students and undertaking management and administrative roles in the department.

Applicants should have a doctorate in economics or a closely related discipline with an international economics content; a strong research record in international economics with reference to developing countries; university teaching experience of graduate teaching and research student supervision; a record of securing funds for research and in leading and managing research teams; a demonstrated interest in policy and practice in economic development; and the ability and commitment to participate in the wider academic activities of the department.
