Consultant – Public Affairs (Transport & Aviation) Fleishman Hillard SA

Fleishman-Hillard’s Brussels office is seeking a consultant with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience to join its growing Transport team.
The Fleishman-Hillard Brussels Transport Team is led by Dan Baxter (Senior Vice President), who oversees the work of Fleishman-Hillard in the Energy, Environment and Transport sectors. He is supported by seventeen full-time consultants. Although the various positions in the team impose a certain hierarchy, Fleishman-Hillard prefers to operate a relatively flat structure and above all is a meritocracy. Our philosophy hinges very much on supportive team working and it is important that new additions to the team are a good “fit” in this respect.

The main responsibilities of this position include:
  • Providing advice and execution on a number of transport-related accounts, with a focus on the aviation sector
  • Offering  European Union public affairs and communications counsel to our client base
  • Actively promoting Fleishman-Hillard and its services to potential clients and contacts in the transport sector
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
  • Proven track record in successfully managing the execution of integrated public affairs and communications programmes
  • Track record of successful engagement with legislators and officials at the national and EU level
  • Prior experience in a professional services firm and a track record of delivering beyond the expectations of  clients
  • Background in European Union policy and experience working with the transport sector – with special focus on the aviation sector – and the issues that affect it
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant European Union processes, actors and media
  • Ability to use communications tactics (media relations, digital communications, events, third party engagement) to help meet  client objectives
  • Fluency in English,  and a preference for the ability to work in at least one other European Union language, and proven ability in the development of high quality written material
