Faculty Positions in the Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies

The Graduate School of Business at Stanford University seeks to fill three positions for faculty members whose research and teaching are in areas that will support the Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies (“SEED”).  We seek faculty who are established leaders in related fields to provide intellectual energy and leadership to this effort.  We believe that the launch of the Institute provides us with an unprecedented opportunity to attract academic leaders in the study of poverty alleviation to Stanford.  We seek full time appointments in the existing areas of the school (Accounting; Economics; Finance; Marketing; Operations, Information and Technology; Organizational Behavior; and Political Economy) of faculty members who will be affiliated with the Institute. Any faculty member appointed through this process should have significant knowledge of and interest in gaining broader on the ground experience in the developing world. We expect these to be senior appointments, although we will consider junior faculty who are on a clear trajectory to be leaders in the field and who demonstrate the capability for institutional leadership.  The candidate's research and teaching interests must be related to the core mission of the institute, in particular poverty alleviation through entrepreneurship and management of growing enterprises in the developing world.
