Joint Campaign Digital Co-ordinator


SALARY: £35,000 p.a

The Joint Coalition (of which ActionAid is a member) are working to deliver a brilliant, innovative and engaging digital campaign and we need a digital co-ordinator who is going to help bring this whole thing together and drive it forward.  This will include working on the project to deliver the digital presence for the Joint Coalition and then making sure it delivers when it’s launched.  
You need to be passionate about digital, campaigning and changing the world.   You will be helping to deliver a major digital campaign – from a coalition of the biggest names in the Third Sector -  aimed at delivering change on a global level.  This will take solid project management skill, a good sense of editorial, great organisational skills and brilliant diplomacy and organisation.   You must be able to think strategically and retain your focus on the campaign goals no matter what the pressure. 
Campaigns aren’t nine to five, and sometimes, you’ll need to be on call to respond to opportunities.  This will be within the working hours of the post holder.

1.    Project Management
Work with the Digital Consultant to manage the project delivering the campaign.  This will include:
a.    Maintaining a project GANTT chart 
b.    Managing change into the project
c.    Maintaining the risk and issue log
d.    Reporting on project status to senior stakeholders 
e.    Attending/helping to run  weekly Digital Meetings and ensuring they deliver progress
f.    Liaising with technical specialists in the coalition for input
g.    Liaising with the appointed digital agency for project updates

2.    Site Management (once the project has been launched)
a.    Ensuring the site is delivering great content and working with the Joint Coalition partners to deliver a content calendar that is engaging and effective
b.    Managing the content calendar
c.    Developing a lively and engaged digital presence which encourages user contributions and engagements and moderates that effectively

3.    Digital Marketing
a.    Ensuring all digital marketing work is delivering a good ROI for the Coalition (may involve liaison with Coalition Digital Marketing experts and Media Planning Agencies)
b.    Deliver effective email programme (again, liaison where necc with experts) to optimise support and conversion to action for the campaign
c.    Work with digital marketing leads to forecast traffic to the site over the period of the campaign and with digital data analyst leads to ensure we are tracking that and reporting effectively and rapidly. 

4.    Community Management
●  Work with the Coalition’s social media experts to deliver engagement via social media channels

5.    Other
a.  The campaign is in development and the work required is not yet fully known.   Any other task within the general scope of delivering a great digital campaign may be requested. 
b. You’ll need to be flexible with regards to time.  This is a digital campaign with a news driven element and sometimes you will have to be on call outside of your normal working hours and ensure a rota approach from the Coaliton to ensure coverage.  We will work with you to ensure this is within the normal amount of hours for your role. 

Skills & Experience Required
1.    You will have some experience of Project Management and project management tools
2.    You will have experience of delivering great communications
3.    You will be familiar with content management systems and have used at least one before
4.    You will be highly organised 
5.    Great stakeholder management skills are a must
6.    You will be familiar with digital marketing methods and evaluation
7.    You will be familiar with social media and its use in campaigns
