Job Purpose |
Setting
the strategy and business plan as well as oversight and management of
the treasury back office, and global transactional and electronic
banking operations of the airline including treasury payments and
settlement, cash flow forecasting and funding of operations,
transactional and electronic banking operations and systems. The
geographical scope of the role covers more than 100 on line and off-line
locations and counties of operation of the airline, ensuring effective
provision, integration and operation of banking infrastructure, and
treasury operations support to outstations. The role operates as part of
the centralized Group Treasury in Abu Dhabi and oversees a team of 6
treasury professionals, including one senior manager.

Responsibilities |
- Developing
and setting the strategic plan and business plans for treasury back
office, electronic banking and systems teams in line with the overall
treasury and corporate strategy, including the strategy to integrate and
support the treasury requirements of subsidiaries and partner airlines
and other businesses
- Manage
and oversee all daily treasury operations processes and reporting
related to the back office operations and electronic banking and systems
teams.

Oversee
cash balance reporting, monitoring and repatriation of cash balances
and cash flow forecasting. Devise strategies and tactical measures to
optimize the repatriation of cash and the release of cash in restricted
countries

Manage
all transactional banking relationships globally and the related bank
accounts, bank singing mandates, integration with electronic banking,
ERP systems and treasury systems. Prepare the treasury operations budget
and monitor operational expenses and operations bank charges on an
ongoing basis.

Manage
overdraft, guarantee and LC/SBLC facilities with the airlines banks and
the issuance, recording and reporting of instruments used against these
facilities

Manage all corporate and payment card schemes and the relationships with the banks that provide these solutions.

Lead
the treasury team in providing support for the Emergency Response Plan
through the provision of ERP credit cards, cash bag and the operational
activation and management of this infrastructure.

Develop,
document, review and monitor policies and procedures for the treasury
operations area and ensure compliance against these policies and
procedures.

Support
the Vice President and Group Treasury on ad-hoc projects such as
synergies project with partner airlines, due diligence reviews of
strategic investment opportunities.

Requirements | Qualifications and Education:

Bachelor's degree from an academically outstanding undergraduate institution, ideally in the field of finance.

A solid combination of spreadsheet, accounting and legal skills.

Masters or equivalent degree in relevant field would be very desirable.

Formal treasury certification from the ACT (UK) or AFP is highly desirable.
Experience:
-
A minimum of ten years’ experience managing treasury operations for a large corporate entity or bank.

Strong experience with treasury management systems such as IT/2, Reval, Quantum or similar product.

Strong experience with the integration between treasury, ERP and banking systems.

Highly skilled with MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
-
Familiarity with financial/accounting principles

Ability to communicate complex and technical points clearly both verbally and in writing

Able to rapidly assimilate and synthesize lots of information quickly
-
Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and strong project management experience.
Training:
Knowledge:

Quantitative
thinker with strong technical qualifications, skilled at developing,
maintaining, and reviewing spreadsheet-based financial models
-
Strong understanding of advanced financial analytics, including risk-management principles
-
A communicator, adept at face-to-face meetings with banks, other departments within EY
-
Background
working in team environment to support the requirements of other
treasury departments, outstations, the broader finance division and
supporting the operations of the airline broader business.
