The Office of Programs at Creative is comprised of two divisions: the Education for Development (ED) division and the Communities in Transition (CIT) division. The positions advise and support the two programmatic divisions.
 
 
 Position Summary 
 
 
The Senior Technical Expert(s) will provide technical assistance and support in strategy development for upcoming youth-focused market opportunities. In partnership with programmatic and cross-functional divisions, the STE(s) will ensure the integration of appropriate youth-focused programming in the areas of education, work-forces development, citizenship and health. The STE’s will support all youth-centered market opportunities and contribute to strengthening of Creative’s youth programming approaches with a focus on replicable and sustainability. The STE(s) will identify innovative and complimentary methodologies to be included in Creative’s youth portfolio to ensure holistic, positive youth development—including youth leadership, new media, cellular technology, entrepreneurship, employability, sports in development, life skills, etc.
 
 
 Reporting and Supervision 
 
 
The Senior Technical Experts report to Creative’s HQ Program Director.
 
 
 Required Skills and Qualifications 
 
 
  • Master’s degree in international development or a closely related field;
  • At least five years of international development experience in one or more of Creative’s core lines of business: education, democratic transitions, livelihoods, governance & civil society, and stabilization, with significant experience in support to youth and gender equity;
  • Prior field experience and work in technology and communications for development, public private partnerships, gender programming, employability, case management, sports in development, youth leadership and other youth-related activities valued highly.
  • Proficiency in a second language a plus.
