Talent Acquisition Manager - Africa


Outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and experienced recruitment professional.
We are seeking an experienced talent acquisition professional to manage the recruitment within our African countries (South Africa, Uganda and Kenya).

Based in Johannesburg and reporting to the Regional Head of Talent Acquisition (based in Dubai), the incumbent will be responsible for effectively managing the sourcing, attraction, selection and onboarding of internal and external candidates for identified vacancies in a rigorous, cost effective, fair and equitable manner.

Specific responsibilities will include:

* Ensuring all recruitment and selection activity is carried out in accordance with Chartis Recruitment Policy and local legislation
* Managing recruitment projects, in partnership with the business, to ensure consistency and rigour of selection process
* Providing advice and guidance to the business on assessment and interview technique
* Providing the business with the tools to streamline the recruitment process and create greater confidence in selection decisions
* Exploring and exploiting innovative sourcing strategies, focusing on online media in order to maximize cost effectiveness
* Creating and expanding personal networks, through the use of tools such as Linked In, in order to understand and map market and to create future talent pipeline
* Designing appropriate selection methodologies to obtain solid, measurable evidence of candidate suitability, based on competency framework and technical specifications
* Facilitating and leading competency -based interviews
* Continuously reviewing selection methodology to ensure best practice is being followed
* Ensuring all vacancies are entered into the Recruitment Management System (Peoplefluent), monitoring key metrics and striving for continuous improvement
* Acting as key contact for new employees/transfers and managing the onboarding process

The successful candidate for this position will possess at least 5 years' experience in an in-house recruitment role and will be an experienced user of e-recruitment systems, with the knowledge and ability to utilise direct sourcing channels.

Exposure to assessment centre methodology, competency-based interviewing techniques and psychometric testing are all essential elements for success.
