OPPORTUNITY FOR EUROPEAN GRADUATES-ECONOMIST "BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT" (M/F)-ABU DHABI

The successful Business Development Economist will work in a competitive environment that has become extremely fierce, and his or her main duties will include: 

1) Running economic surveys to prepare negotiations on new business opportunities (extensions on existing licences, new horizon exploration contracts, etc) 

2) Running economic analysis on contracts secured by rivals 

3) Feeding an economic database for business/benchmarking

This job involves using online databases/tools (e.g. Wood Mackenzie). The economist will liaise closely with the department in charge of economic surveys at the head office, which will retain authority over economic calculations.

Required skills

Education 

- Engineering school degree 
- Sound knowledge of project economics 
- Income statement and balance sheet analysis 
- MS Office literacy 
- Oil line database (e.g. Wood Mackenzie) literacy or experience would be an advantage 
- Fluent English
