Cambodian Children's Fund is an international non-profit organization having been established in Cambodia since June 2004. Our mission is to break cycles of poverty and abuse and to create positive change in Cambodia through intervention and education for the most impoverished and underserved children and their families by providing services such as education, childcare, health care, vocational training and community outreach. There are 8 different facilities with 468 staffs undertaking various projects in Phnom Penh. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the following position:
Volunteer Project Officer
One position based in Phnom Penh
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Model the organisation's values and behaviours within the office, with reference to the organisational policy and procedures
- Manage an array of administrative tasks including:
- Undertake word processing, spread sheets, report writing, correspondence and associated documentation in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, utilising appropriate grammar, spelling and lay-out.
- Manage the office mail flow, aware of the importance of meeting timelines
- Create and support implementation of schedules for multiple simultaneous volunteers and/or visitors
- Accurately maintain electronic and hard copy files and records
- Continually demonstrate well developed oral and written communication skills, appreciating diversity and different personality types, either in person or via phone/email communication
- Demonstrate competence in all Word packages, including Excel, presenting documents in a professional manner
- Represent CCF and the CCF Volunteering Department positively by planning and managing own workload to ensure an efficient and timely response to requests, especially handling emergency situations professionally
- Manage application processes, including liaison with a range of stakeholders on a local and international level.
- Demonstrate critical attention to detail to ensure compliance with requirements, collating a vast and complex array of documentation
- Demonstrate self-awareness, initiative and professionalism by contributing to an harmonious working environment, working collaboratively as a cohesive team.
- Contribute to quality assurance and continual improvement by initiating and contributing to streamlining administrative systems and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Visibly ethical, able to demonstrate CCF values in day-to-day work
- Contribute to quality assurance and continual improvement by initiating and contributing to streamlining administrative systems and procedures.
- Able to professionally and successfully communicate with diverse clients and stakeholders at all levels
- Well-developed IT skills. Competence in all Word packages.
- Able to understand differing stakeholder needs and respond in a way which demonstrates a commitment to client satisfaction
- Demonstrated systems thinking and an ability to balance a conceptual overview with critical attention to detail, demonstrating assertiveness to enable job completion in a timely way
- Able to understand oneself, to appreciate difference and to build successful team relationships to ensure effective administration processes
- Able to respond to arising issues and contribute to quality improvement projects and initiatives
