Join a leading Accounting and Finance group.
Manchester Business School is the largest campus-based business and management school in the UK with the first place ranking amongst UK business schools in terms of research power (RAE, 2008). This reflects our understanding of changes to the digital economy.  In theoretical terms it is understood to be rooted in changes to transaction costs that affect firm design, networks, information sharing and so forth. Hence, our development of capability in Empirical Economics anticipates an ongoing set of changes in firms, and will keep our teaching connected to research agendas.
You will be joining our academics working within the Business Economics and Strategy subject group, in the Innovation Policy and Management Division (IMP). We are interested in a candidate who has advanced knowledge in the subject area as demonstrated by a PhD in Economics or equivalent, preferably with a strong econometrics background. Strong candidates with a PhD or equivalent in a closely related subject will also be considered. You will also have a proven track record of developing teaching and learning expertise in empirical economics areas. Candidates should be able to demonstrate successful innovations that have enhanced the teaching and learning experience.
