Organizational Context:
The Expert will work closely with Directors and staff in the Brands and Designs Sector to guide the business to identify, analyse and improve core business processes and workflows in the Madrid Registry and ensure that business processes are efficient and effective, while striving for innovation, flexibility and integration with technology. The Expert will also provides managerial support to the Directors in the areas of strategy, structure, management and operations.
Main duties:
(a) Develop a detailed understanding of certain end-to-end business processes within the Madrid Registry, through interactions with stakeholders. Map the processes, document the required resources, the duration of the process and the desired outcomes and expected results; Identify potential process improvements and seek opportunities to make the Madrid Registry more effective, responsive and efficient.
(b) Assist the Senior Director in the design of process metrics covering both examination and customer service activities, and in the production of other management information;
(c) Assist the Senior Director in the establishment of a strategic plan for the Registry covering structure, activities of units/individuals, their related resource requirements and their contribution to expected result. Liaise with other stakeholders such as colleagues in the Administration and Management Sector both directly and on behalf of the Senior Director.
The tasks of the Expert will be considered completed when the following has been delivered:
  • A comprehensive report on item (a);
  • A complete set of process metrics with associated management as per (b) above; and
  • The strategic plan referred to in (c) above.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
We are looking for an expert in process analysis with relevant experience in similar projects involving process mapping, business analysis, strategic planning, organisational improvement.
Skills:
(a) Versatile and capable mind-set with broad, enterprise-wide view of the business, strategy, processes, enabling technologies and governance.
(b) Knowledge of strategic, operational and financial planning, forecasting, and financial accounting processes.
(c) Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to rapidly grasp subject matter in the areas of strategy, structure, management and operations.
(d) Ability to analyse raw data, draw conclusions, and develop meaningful performance indicators and actionable recommendations.
(e) Aptitude to question, analyse, develop and innovate effectively and to provide managerial support efficiently and responsively.
(f) Excellent communication skills, adapting the message to the audience. Competent at developing written and verbal communications as well as presentation skills. Ability to influence others to move towards consensus.
(g) Demonstrated ability to produce high quality and visually appealing management reports integrating data and graphics, using a variety of available software solutions, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English, working knowledge of French would be an advantage.

Additional Information:
Indicative remuneration: TBD per consulting day depending on experience, skills and delivery. Anticipate full time presence in Geneva, with some flexibility.
Additional testing/interviewing may be used as a form of screening.
