Chief Executive Officer - Development Risk Management Barbados

Headquartered in Barbados, The Board now seeks an accredited Chief Executive Officer to lead the company in maintaining value to its clients while securing new business to drive growth.
The Role
  • Promote the range of leading-edge programmes evidenced throughout the client base.
  • Drive Business Development Strategy, to include:
    • Identifying and assessing likely public sector projects such as climate change and disaster management.
    • Developing new products/services focused on large corporate clients with Catastrophe exposure.
  • Stimulate a culture that is client focused, moves with alacrity and values innovation, teamwork and performance.
  • Maintain a network of healthy relationships with key stakeholders.
Preferred Profile
  • Significant senior level experience in natural catastrophe hazard, risk assessment and managing service delivery.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Knowledge of the Central America & Caribbean region would be a decided advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of natural hazard analysis, remote sensing, cat models, loss analytics/DFA etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk transfer for parametric weather insurance in the small-farmer space would be a significant asset.
  • A strategic thinker with proven human relations skills.
