Department and Role Summary

The Technology Services function manages the development, operation and technical support of the core IT infrastructure and business applications, ensuring they run efficiently, effectively and securely. 
 
Testing of changes to core and bespoke applications and when required, ensuring the QA of the release process

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and execution of test scripts.
  • Defect management
  • Maintaining and creation of test data and general management of Environments
  • Creating test plans and strategies for upcoming releases
  • Reporting on progress of changes
  • Signing off releases between Quality gates
  • Estimation of effort required for changes to pass through QA
  • If required, advising on best approach for releases from a QA perspective

Requirements

Essential Technical Skills 
  • Test Script creation from functional requirements
  • Test Script execution
  • Defect management with any suitable tool (such as Quality Center and Jira)
Desirable Technical Skills 
  • SQL Knowledge
  • Test automation
  • Performance testing
  • Exposure to Quality Center, QTP, SQL Server, Citrix
Experience
  • Previous experience of software testing with a variety of tools and technologies
  • Proven track record for managing project test deliverables and enhancements on time
  • Excellent understanding of testing software, technologies and processes
  • Experience of working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • If required, good working knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 including HCM, FI/CO and MM; Employee and Manager Self Service on SAP Enterprise Portal; SAP Process Integration.
  • If required, experience of working with Test Workbench in SAP Solution Manager
Desirable Qualifications 
  • ISEB/ISTQB qualification or equivalent
