The School of Geography is a leading international research department, one of the top-ranked in the UK. We seek to appoint an excellent physical geographer or earth scientist whose teaching interests align to delivery of aspects of the BSc (Hons) Geography programme (seehttp://webprod3.leeds.ac.uk/catalogue/dynprogrammes.asp?Y=201314&P=BS-GEOG).

You will have responsibility for delivering a range of lectures and supporting small-group classes on one or more of the core science components of the teaching programme (geomorphology, ecosystems, environmental change, sustainability). You may additionally be involved in teaching numeracy and skills in data presentation and statistical analysis at all levels, and will be expected to deliver academic tutorials, to support undergraduate dissertation students, to contribute to field trips and to contribute towards the delivery of practical demonstrations on School open days. You will also be encouraged and supported to enhance your research and publication profile, and where appropriate, apply for external funding.

You will have, or be close to achieving, a PhD in Geography or a related discipline, and have experience of teaching and research that complements the work of the physical geography research clusters.
