Finance Trainee

Its cutting-edge expertise is based on an integrated production platform and world-leading metallurgy and R&D. Operations are divided into four product areas: Tube, Strip, Wire and Heating Technology - and Primary Products.
We are looking for a Finance Trainee for a position offering excellent opportunities for career and personal development. The trainee period lasts for a total of 18 months, and is divided into three stages. The initial stage is conducted in Sandviken, allowing you to gain knowledge about SMT through practical work within financial and business control, both at the head office and in the different product areas. Stage two is spent exploring our global business while working overseas, whereas in the third and final one you'll be taking part in a project of great strategic importance.
Key performance areas
As our Finance Trainee you strive toward a position working with the financial consolidation of the business area and ensuring correct reported results from all entities. Your journey toward becoming an expert in accounting is combined with developing a solid knowledge about transfer pricing, service fees as well as financial systems such as SAP and BPC.
Addionally, you will be part of a team with the core ability to make numbers talk, and responsible for the financial process and for giving efficient, reliable and proactive financial support. You will take an active part in projects and decisions affecting the business, by conducting continual follow-up of performance and helping to prioritize actions to meet overall targets in line with the strategy.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a recent Master's degree in Business Administration, with both a background and forward focus within the finance area. You have a genuine interest in the engineering and manufacturing industries, combined with great communication skills and the ability to easily interpret and present information in a pedagogical way. Therefore, excellent skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken, are prerequisite.
As a person you are self-motivated, adaptable and open to challenges, with the ability to work within a diverse and international work environment. You demonstrate the drive and ambition to succeed, along with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Furthermore, you are analytical and communicative, with a high level of integrity. Lastly, you are mobile and open to live and work in different parts of the world.
