Group Executive: Corporate & Investment Bank

Ecobank Group is seeking to recruit a Group Executive who will be responsible for overseeing and successfully leading the Corporate and Investment Bank.
THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Group CEO the incumbent will hold overall responsibility for strategy development and delivery, financial stewardship, risk management, business growth and overall business efficiency and leadership.
- Ensure the profitable operation of the ClB business by implementing the organisational structure, procedures and policies to ensure long-term profitability
- Develop and lead strategic initiatives to create business growth, position CIB as a premier ClB business in Africa and increase shareholders' value
- Serve as the key point of liaison with the Board of Directors, Group Chief Executive Officer and stakeholders on overall strategic direction as well as on major strategic and tactical decisions
- Ensure the business' ongoing compliance with regulatory policies and frameworks
- As a senior executive representative of the bank, maintain positive relationships with relevant external stakeholders and trade associations and serve as an escalation point for CIB.
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 15 years' in a leadership role supervising a company/global line of business and people in the banking industry
- Sound performance record of business and people development
- High level of international exposure and ability to negotiate with client organisations at a global decision-making level
- Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or related field of study
- Executive training records will be an advantage
- Strategic understanding ofthe CIB business, good management skills and the ability to establish direction and drive execution
- Proven leadership and people development skills are required, in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships both externally and internally
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Being bilingual (English/French) will serve as an advantage.
