Communications Intern at Music Crossroads International


Music Crossroads International is looking for an experienced young professional looking to gain valuable insight into the field of international development work in the arts in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for coordinating communications across the organization with its partners in Africa, as well as leading a social media marketing campaign.
Produce and manage material for media outreach to enhance the presence of MCI and its projects in the media.
MCI empowers and educates young musicians in Africa, it is a program of Jeunesses Musicales International and is a truly international organization—you will communicate with individuals from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds.
You must be flexible, a quick learner, and possess the ability to take initiative. You must also have experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and video editing software, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent English.
  • French and Portuguese are a plus.
Previous experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
  • Communications
  • Social Media 
  • Marketing
  • Project management
This internship is unpaid. Duration 3 months (with possibility of extension to 6 months).
