EWEA is seeking a Wind Energy Technology Analyst to be responsible for delivering internal analyses and external studies on research and innovation developments in wind Energy.

Main Responsibilities:
Technology and business intelligence:
- Collect technical information on the main technology trends and business developments in wind energy in order to develop consistent an irrefutable arguments aimed at implementing effectively EWEA strategy;
- Perform desk research and coordinate surveys among experts to create written material on wind energy research and innovation trends;
- Support EWEA Business Intelligence product development and services by providing technical content in the forms of briefs, analyses and reports;
- Work in close collaboration with external technical experts from industry to identify research and innovation priorities;
- Support with technical expertise project managers by peer-reviewing and commenting EU-funded project related publications and intermediate deliverables.
Project Management
- Initiate and develop content for EWEA EU-funded projects in collaboration with the project manager and team members;
- Identify consortium partners and funding opportunities relevant for wind energy and provide for information to EWEA members.
Membership
- Coordinate the technical content information of one or more EWEA Working Groups, Task Forces or ad-hoc networks;
- Advise EWEA members on relevant decisions and industry developments at national and EU level;
- Implement and execute membership services in line with EWEA objectives and strategy.
Advocacy:
- Develop, strengthen and broaden an extensive advocacy network across the EU institutions, national authorities, international organisations and other stakeholders relevant to his/her area of expertise;
- Formulate policy recommendations for decision makers in order to improve political and legal frameworks for wind energy, especially at EU-level;
- Write policy positions papers, reports, presentations and general materials related to his/her specific areas of expertise;
- Participate in external events and perform presentations to promote and disseminate EWEA's messages to external audiences;
- Participate and actively contribute to EWEA events;
- Answer external stakeholders queries related to his/her area of expertise, policies and other wind energy related topics or EWEA work.
Budget
- Follow EWEA procedures and systems in place for effective management of the budget assigned to his/her division or function.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Master in Science/Engineering, candidates with wind energy or RES speciality are preferred, but it is not compulsory.
Experience:
- Between 2 years to 3 years of relevant work experience in collecting, analysing data and writing technical reports on the wind energy sector.
Personal skills:
- Strong technical knowledge on energy and renewables policies;
- Proven analytical and numerical skills;
- Knowledge on technology development processes and R&D;
- Good to excellent understanding of RES and wind energy technology;
- Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook, website management, internet search engines);
- Additional software and modelling tools are an asset;
- Proven ability to manage complex organisational and political relationships;
- Ability to engage with high level parties;
- Self-confidence;
- Problem solving attitude;
- Strong ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines;
- Good time management and ability to prioritize;
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills;
- Thrives in a multicultural and international environment;
- Ability to work as a team player as well as independently.
Languages:
- English (fluent written and verbal) is mandatory;
- Other languages are an asset to deal with external technical experts, subcontractors and members.
