International Donor Development Manager
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an International Donor Development Manager to join an organisation with ambitious goals for children and a clear strategic plan. While advertised as a London location we are very flexible on the base location - you could be based anywhere around the globe (in an existing Save the Children office or be home-based).
Engaging, inspiring and retaining our supporters, and increasing their value over time, is key to us achieving our ambitions for children. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious high performing fundraiser with significant experience to join our International Member Growth team; to add to their expertise and support our 29 Members.
In this new role you will:
- Play a key role in shaping the overall donor retention and development strategy and priorities for Save the Children International and the Members
- Provide direct technical support to new and existing fundraising markets where required
- Ensure skill sharing and knowledge management: through closer links and greater dialogue between retention and development fundraising stakeholders, and providing a central point for skill sharing and knowledge management
To be suited to this opportunity you'll have:
- Substantial experience of running supporter retention and development activities with a demonstrable record of success, ideally in multiple markets
- Experience of developing and implementing supporter journeys across multiple channels
- Experience in developing organizational strategies and plans, and measuring effectiveness
- Demonstrable experience of working within a team with knowledge management and skill sharing responsibilities equivalent in scale and focus
- Experience of working in a support role to a diverse range of fundraising markets
On a personal level you'll be a self-starter, an assertive and persuasive negotiator who is able to articulate the work of Save the Children with passion. You'll also have the ability to both lead and work in teams, to work in a fast moving environment and be respectful of diversity. You will also be willing to undertake international travel for up to 25%.
The role offers a competitive package in the context of the sector.
The organisation
We employ approximately 17,000 people across the globe and work on the ground in over 60 countries to help children affected by crises, or those that need better healthcare, education and protection. We also campaign and advocate at the highest levels to realise children's rights and ensure their voices are heard.
We are working towards 3 breakthroughs in how the world treats children by 2030:
- No child dies from preventable causes before their 5th birthday
- All children learn from a quality basic education
- Violence against children is no longer tolerated
