The Faculty of Economics and Behavioral Sciences of the University of Freiburg invites applications for a

Full Professorship (W3) for Statistics and Econometrics
(Succession to Prof. Fitzenberger)

to be filled as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research and to teach in the field of statistics and econometric. Applications of the latest methods in micro-econometrics, time series analysis and/or Bayesian statistics e.g. in the area of labor markets, industrial economics, financial econometrics or macro econometrics is expected. Primary responsibilities include teaching basic statistics in the Bachelor programs and advanced econometric methods in the Master programs in economics and management science as well as teaching PhD students. The ability and willingness to teach in English is expected.

Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree, an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
