We are looking for you:
The Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (IPAR-Rwanda) needs your expertise in professionalising its research and policy consultation approaches with macroeconomic focuses. IPAR-Rwanda is an independent research institute that undertakes research and consulting commissions for national and international institutions and partners. In this capacity, IPAR-Rwanda aims to support national reform processes by providing policy advice and scientific opinions for the public, thus making a targeted contribution to Rwanda's development. To this end, a quality management system will be established for project steering and the realisation of research projects. The aim is to provide key information for decision-making processes to all partners in a manner appropriate to the target groups.
Your tasks will involve:
Improving project management in terms of the planning, budgeting and steering of research projects and policy consultation approaches;
Introducing a quality management system for monitoring and evaluating the research methodology used and examining the relevance of the research work;
Developing research programmes, projects and policy consultation approaches – in particular analyses and forecasts – for establishing IPAR-Rwanda as a think tank for the Government, civil society and international partners;
Training the academic employees and experts at IPAR-Rwanda.
Your profile:
A completed doctorate focusing on economic policy or another subject enabling you to carry out these tasks;
Several years of experience in the acquisition, implementation and management of macroeconomic research projects for policy consultation;
Several years of experience in coaching and mentoring academic personnel on current research topics;
Fluent business English, ideally also French.
