Communications Assistant - Carnegie Europe

Carnegie Europe, the European center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is seeking a full-time communications assistant to work in its Brussels office for a fixed period of one year, with a possibility of extension.
The selected candidate will assist the communications coordinator with a range of activities to support the technical production and distribution of Carnegie Europe research products. Key responsibilities will include assisting with regular website maintenance, preparing and sending mass mailings, compiling monthly analytical web reports, drafting social media content, monitoring and collating media coverage, database management, operating various audio and visual equipment, and providing event support as required.
The ideal candidate will possess one to two years of relevant work experience. The position requires fluency in English (working-level French an asset); knowledge of or strong interest in current social media trends; knowledge of graphic software, html, and Google analytics a distinct advantage; excellent time management and organizational skills; flexibility; the ability to work well independently and as part of a team; a university degree; and a clear interest in European and international affairs.
