At an exciting time of growth and opportunity for the organization, we seek a new Deputy Regional Director, Asia.
About the role
The Deputy Regional Director, Asia will have oversight across the Asia region of the quality of planning, delivery and performance measurement of designated grants. You will also have oversight of research and evaluation, fortification and BCC in the Asian region and supporting External Relations work in the region, through smart programming and strategic positioning and partnerships.
About you
We are looking for someone who shares our organizational culture of delivering high-impact and cost-effective programs to the world’s most vulnerable. Having a leadership position within a dedicated and dynamic team spread across six Asian countries, the new Deputy Regional Director will oversee the development of national programs and projects. Strong management skills will help the team with the development and management of country plans and budgets. We seek someone who will lead by example to foster an entrepreneurial culture of ingenuity and innovation so that we bring together the best of our efforts for lasting results
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders, with ability to manage political sensitivities effectively and constructively. A postgraduate level degree, doctorate is preferred, in any of the following: nutrition, health or public health, management or health economics.
Essential skills include a solid understanding of human nutrition and the role of micronutrients as well as expertise and experience in micronutrient fortification of foods and condiments.
A minimum of 10 years at a senior level in programming in Public Health or Nutrition and at least 5 years’ experience supervising senior staff and working in Asia and internationally.
Sound experience with financial and personnel management.
