IPPF is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. We are a worldwide movement of national organisations working with and for communities and individuals.
With international travel you will be responsible for the financial oversight for a large, multi-country and multi-donor funded programme, the Safe Abortion Action Fund (SAAF). You will provide financial co-ordination and monitoring, donor reporting and financial capacity building for grantees to support the strategic aims of the SAAF programme.
You have a degree or equivalent standard of education and are at a minimum, a part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA). You have a strong background in budgeting and financial analysis, with experience in financial control systems and audit. Experience of international development issues and/or project implementation and monitoring is essential, as is experience of working in finance in developing countries. It is not essential to have previously worked in-house for a charity.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills to train staff and give presentations, strong analytical skills and excellent IT skills including knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications. Knowledge of financial reporting systems is essential, as is fluent English and French and/or Spanish.
