Key performance areas:
This position primarily is to demonstrate how Sandvik products can create value and meet customer requirements from technical aspects through various activities, process.
Monitor new technologies, market trends and industry needs to promote and prepare the boiler materials and application developments, whilst identifying supply development needs.
Support the implementation of the marketing and sales plan. Achieve established sales and profitability targets and to develop existing and new customers and applications.
  • To be a technical expert in front of boiler customers, knowing deeply in boiler application especially the USC, A-USC and future advanced technologies.
  • To develop and maintain boiler makers, power plants, design institutes to drive specify of Sandvik boiler tubes.
  • To be a source of technical and product expertise, provide support to sales activities, technical seminar, negotiations.
  • Knowing deeply of boiler tube materials in terms of microstructure, mechanical properties, welding, bending etc. and the benefits of our tubular segments products against competition.
  • To visit boiler makers, designing institutes, power plant to know how to promote our boiler material and develop VBS tools and to know deeply in boiler design, especially on super heater tube, double re-heater tube, headers.
  • To become an active representative and presenter for some important conference related to our boiler tubes to promote Sandvik.
  • Evaluate impact of potential technology shifts, Identify opportunities for forward integration and application development for our boiler tubes. And identify related product development needs.
  • Support New Product introduction to the markets.
  • Primary product focus is boiler products and applications.
  • Be the source of training for technical aspects, both products, and applications.
  • To coordinate with GPM and Sandvik global experts with respect to boiler developments.
Your profile:
  • Min. 5 years working experience in boiler design or fabrication or equipment engineer in power stations.
  • Experience tube production and standards.
  • Experience and proven qualities in communication including presenting for large groups.
  • Good insight and understanding of Sandvik Business.
  • Master's degree in Material Science, preferably metallurgy, specialized in High temperature related.
  • Or Master’s degree in thermal power engineering
  • Or master’s degree in welding engineering
As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
