Roving Technical Coordinator - Nutrition Security


You'll contribute to ending world hunger by ...

being a gap-filler mainly on Food Security & Livelihoods and Nutrition-Health positions, Deputy Country Director for Programs, Capacity Building on Nutrition Security topics, or program development in Action Against Hunger-USA countries of operation.

Key activities in your role will include

  • Covering for vacant coordinator positions or ad-hoc supporting to Action Against Hunger country offices.
  • Supporting the Action Against Hunger country strategy and program development.
  • Supporting and coordinating programs according to Action Against Hunger strategy and quality requirements, technical protocols and donors expectations.
  • Supporting Monitoring, Evaluation, Documentation and Reporting activities.
  • Representing Action Against Hunger externally in the humanitarian community.
  • Building staff capacity.
  • Providing surge capacity in emergencies.

Do you meet the profile required criteria ?

You are a seasoned professional:
  • You have advanced University degree (Master’s degree preferred) preferably in International Humanitarian Assistance, International Development, Applied Nutrition, Food Security and Livelihoods or related studies
  • You have at least 4 years work experience with an international humanitarian organization, leading a variety of programs including around Nutrition and Food Security & Livelihood
  • You are an excellent communicator and have demonstrable expertise writing reports and program proposals.
You have solid experience:
  • Working in humanitarian settings delivering emergency programming, preferable in complex and multi-sector interventions.
  • Working with major institutional and UN donors and donor procedures, and in particular for long term / multiyear grants.
  • Designing and delivering training for national teams and partner organizations, comfortable coaching & training staff
You are passionate about humanitarian work:
  • You have genuine interest in and commitment to the humanitarian principles of Action Against Hunger.
  • You have experience in recovery and resilience programming.
  • You have the ability to adapt quickly and confidently to changing contexts and circumstances, and to travel on short notice
