PRODUCT INFORMATION AND DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

The industry is quickly becoming digitized and automated, and correct and adequate product data is one of the corner stones of the digital journey ahead of us, often referred to as Industry 4.0. The Product Information and Data Management department is responsible for processes and platforms, which include information models, product structures, classifications and standards. Seeing that relevant, correct and complete information is available to our customers and internal users is also part of our responsibility.
We are now offering an exciting position with great potential for a person who wants to develop a key role in the digitalization of Sandvik Coromant. Do you want to be that person by participating in the continued development of our digital recommendations? We are looking for a Product Information and Data Management Specialist to join our team of eleven co-workers. The position and the team are located in Sweden but we work in a global network.
Key performance areas
The primary purpose of this position is to translate our knowledge to business logic that can be implemented in different solutions. One of the solutions, our CoroGuide application, enables the user to find and get a recommendation for a suitable cutting tool for a given task. Your mission is to support strategic and operational initiatives, with technical knowledge of product information, development of business logic and other functionality. Furthermore, you ensure that PLM/PDM systems are supporting the business needs for required product information and carry out implementation of changes both in systems and processes. Another responsibility is to propose data quality and efficiency improvements in the area of PDM master systems, processes and IT solutions.
As we have global stakeholders, travel is a natural part of this position.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and good knowledge of cutting tools, cutting data and product lifecycle management, both conceptually and of the tools. You also need experience of managing projects; while experience with using business software for sales development and knowledge of information architecture and modeling (PDM systems) are all advantageous. Good skills in English and Swedish, in both writing and speaking, are a prerequisite for this position.
