About the Internship
Our planning centre is part of the International Supply Centre (ISC) with locations in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore and Mexico. The ISC planning team consists of around 100 employees divided over several teams and locations. It is a young, dynamic and international environment. Around half of the team is located in the Amsterdam office and is responsible for market planning for all European sourced products and operates within a very complex and evolving network with the following dimensions:

About the Internship
Our planning centre is part of the International Supply Centre (ISC) with locations in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore and Mexico. The ISC planning team consists of around 100 employees divided over several teams and locations. It is a young, dynamic and international environment. Around half of the team is located in the Amsterdam office and is responsible for market planning for all European sourced products and operates within a very complex and evolving network with the following dimensions:
- Over 60 million actual cases pa in 7 in-house plants with 45 packaging lines and external plants to manage 12 In market companies, 20 warehouses
- A wide variety of customer segments across the network
The ICS works with APO. This is an advanced planning system used in each country, in the production sites (i.e. Scotland and Ireland) and in the ISC Planning Team.
- The 1st internship 6 month programme for F17 runs from September 2016 to February 2017.The working experience can be extended from 6 to 12 months.
- The 2nd programme will run from February to July 2017.
- If you have to do a Thesis as part of the internship Diageo offers you the opportunity to use Diageo business as a source of information
- You will work Full time in Diageo.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support the Market Planner with daily activities
- Analyse data (forecast vs actual shipment)
- Contact and connect with markets and plants
- Support in administering orders and replenishment planning
- Support Inventory Management, by monitoring in market companies stock on hand and adjusting replenishment plan to both protect customer service and hit inventory targets
- Support in projects such as moving & redesigning goods (forecasting vs demand)
- Preparing reports & materials for discussions with markets on Inventory, Replenishments & KPI’s
- Effectively manage and drive communication in the whole supply network, engaging with stakeholders and leading prioritisation decisions within the supply chain

- Planning Parameters
- Implementation of what we already have (MOQ reviews, etc)
- Service measurement and improvement
- Forecasting
- Planning / replenishment strategy
Student profile
- Currently studying at University/Hogeschool with focus on supply chain management, logistics or business.
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Excel
- Pro-active, well organised, flexible and a team player
- Suitable for a non-Dutch speaking student
- Fluent in English both written and verbally is a requirement
- This would be Suitable for either a 3rd year Bachelor student or a Masters student
