Job Description

Cardno is a professional infrastructure and environmental services company, with expertise in the development and improvement of physical and social infrastructure for communities around the world.

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Civil Draftsperson to join our Urban Infrastructure team based in Sydney, NSW. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will join a team of professionals who deliver a variety of quality projects through the provision of accurate and efficient design/drafting services. 

Specifically, your duties will include -
  • Preparation of documentation in accordance with project briefs, DA conditions, relevant authority and industry standards
  • Provision of technical design/drafting input
  • Liaison with Project Managers to ensure design drawings are within scope, taking into account project budgets and timeframes
  • Provision of ad hoc support to project teams
  • Producing a schedule of quantities
 
To be successful you will display
 
  • A minimum of five (5) years proven drafting experience
  • Demonstrated experience using relevant software packages, particularly AutoCAD
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical skills to develop effective,  innovative and commercial solutions
  • A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
