Volunteer - Social Media Coordinator

Job Brief
We are looking for a driven Social Media Coordinator to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities through our various social media accounts. Our goal is to increase our reach and support base by interacting and attracting a larger online audience. The goal is to gradually achieve superior supporter intimacy, website traffic and larger donor base by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
As an organisation which is run 100% by volunteers, we are looking for a Social Media Specialist who can help lead IWI while ensuring we remain true to our mission and goals.
Responsibilities
▪ Build and execute social media strategy with aid from director through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
▪ Manage our Social Media Specialists to ensure accounts are regularly updated with appropriate content to reach a greater audience, while giving preference to IWI generated news content
▪ Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
▪ Create posting calendars for specialists in a manner to efficiently inform our supporters about the various additions, changes and growth of IWI
▪ Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
▪ Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation and coordinate actions
Requirements
▪ Proven working experience in social media or related field
▪ Ability to manage team staff
▪ Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
▪ Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
▪ Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
▪ Positive attitude, detail and online supporter oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability
▪ Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
▪ Attention to detail and problem solving skills
▪ Discretion and confidentiality
