Smart Freight Centre (SFC), an ambitious, global NGO based in Amsterdam, is looking for a proactive, flexible and organized office manager with a passion to be part of a global team to advance green freight and logistics worldwide. The Office Manager will support the efficient running of the SFC Offices in Amsterdam.

The organization has seen continued growth since its inception and requires a professional office assistant to ensure it can continue to deliver on its aims.

The Office Manager will be based at SFC's head office in Amsterdam and reports to the Director of Programs and Operations.
Responsibilities of the Office Manager include:

- Supporting the Director of Programs and Operations with office administration, planning, contracts management, human resources management and finances;
- Managing efficient operations of the SFC office by e.g. equipment procurement and maintaining and implementing ICT office systems;
- Managing travel arrangements for SFC staff and guests and assist in SFC events organization;
- Overseeing office policies by upholding standards and procedures in the operations manual; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments;
- Assisting the Executive Director by e.g. arranging appointments, preparing meetings.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following characteristics:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Proactive, organized and efficient and able to work independently;
- Flexibility to adapt and prioritize work due to constantly evolving situations;
- Initiative and good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch;
- Proficient in MS Office, ICT experience is an advantage;
- Previous experience with - or a proven interest in - bookkeeping is an advantage.
The Office Manager will be appointed for an initial 6 months (with a one month probation period). There is a possibility of a contract extension and full time employment.
